Formula One was in Singapore for Round Eighteen for one of the toughest races of the year. It was a race dominated by the Mercedes of George Russell who never looked like losing the lead of the race after a brilliant start off the line to hold off Max Verstappen behind him. Its Russells first ever win around the streets of Singapore for his fifth win in Formula One. Max Verstappen finished second with Lando Norris in third.
George Russell lead into turn one with Verstappen second, Norris into third and Oscar Piastri in fourth with Charles Leclerc rounding up the top five.
The only real excitement in what was ultimately a quiet race came on lap forty five when Nico Hulkenberg goes off the track but is able to carry on. A lock up and spin for the Sauber driver but isn’t out of the race.
The most exciting part of this race was the McLaren celebrations after becoming Constructors Champions for 2025. In what has been such a dominant year for the Woking based team who secured a 300+ point gap over second place.
The next race is the US Grand Prix.
