NORRIS WINS FINAL DUTCH GRAND PRIX

Formula One has returned from its summer break with the Dutch Grand Prix as the grand opening for the second half of the 2026 World Championship. Rumoured to be the final race at Zandvoort for the forseable future. It was the McLaren of Lando Norris who makes it back to wins after taking victory in Hungary and now the Netherlands, as the reigning World Champion attempts to push himself into contention once more. Current title leader Antonelli came home in second, with Mercedes teammate Russell crossing the line in third, holding off a fast charging Hamilton behind him in the closing laps.

It was pole sitter Lando Norris who got away well, with Kimi Antonelli up to second with George Russell dropping down to third. Hamilton is fourth and Oscar Piastri staying in fifth off the line.

With the track still wet from the rain that had fallen before the race many corners remained slippery as home hero Max Verstappen found out on lap two with Verstappen spinning out in dramatic fashion coming round the banking of the final corner he spins his Red Bull and smashes it into in the wall.

Not the return to F1 and the goodbye to his home race Verstappen would have wanted.

Red flag deployed.

When we finally get cars back on track as they head round for the second race start its the Haas of Ollie Bearman who has pulled over and is out of the race with an engine failure. He didn’t make it to the grid for restart.

With Bearman's car cleared it was lights out for the second time today with Antonelli taking the lead into tun one (as we resume the race on lap five) with Norris down to second as Piastri makes the move to third passing Russell who drops to fourth.

On lap fifty four, forty nine laps after he lost the place on the restart) LANDO LEADS THE RACE ONCE MORE! Finally passing Kimi Antonelli after additional pit stops had been made but the McLaren had looked the best car all weekend.

On lap fifty five Haas' weekend went from bad to worse as Esteban Ocon comes to stop and is out. Then on lap sixty nine the Cadillac of Bottas pits to retire his car. And at some point in this race Stroll also retires but its never mentioned.

But the story of the day is Fernando Alonso scoring two points for the Aston Martin team!

The next race is the Italian Grand Prix.
