ANDRETTI GLOBAL: LOOKING AHEAD TO 2024

At the time of writing reports had recently begun to emerge about a new team to enter Formula One in 2024 - this team run by Michael Andretti the son of 1978 World Champion Mario Andretti.

According to some reports Michael Andretti has made multiple attempts to purchase Haas F1 Team in the past.

The chances of this team becoming a reality seem to becoming ever more real with it being reported that the team have agreed a deal in principle with Renault to supply the engines and its said that Indy Car driver Colton Herta (American) would be the first driver to be signed to the team.

With the news that Herta would be signed this could be the start of more young promising drivers from Indy Car being signed to Formula One other than just F2 and F3 drivers.

It will be interesting should the team be formed who the second driver could be - looking into F2 and F3 for American drivers you have the likes of Williams Academy Driver Logan Sargeant racing in F2 for Carlin. And in F3 you have Juan Manuel Correa racing for ART and Hunter Yeany driving for Campos.

Michael himself has raced in F1 taking part in the 1993 season finishing in 11th place overall for McLaren taking one podium during the whole season when he came third at Monza.
