VIETNAM TO HOST RACE IN 2020
Today it was announced that the city of Hanoi, Vietnam will host a Grand Prix in 2020 with the race promoters Vingroup signing a multi year deal to host the street race.
The street race will take place in April of 2020.
The track has taken corners from a variety of existing tracks including Monaco, Suzuka and the Nurburgring.
The 5.565km track will be an exciting experience for both drivers and fans alike - with entertainment highlighting the colourful culture of Vietnam.
The idea of more races in a wider variety of places is to "broaden the appeal of F1" said Formula 1 Chairman and Chief Executive Chase Carey.
The event is also a huge step for the promoters Vingroup as at the event they will be announcing "Vinfast to millions of people around the world" this will be the first ever Vietnamese car manufacturer.
