ZHOU REPLACES GIOVINAZZI AT ALFA ROMEO FOR 2022


Chinese F2 driver Guanyu Zhou will become F1's first full time Chinese driver in 2022 after he was announced as the replacement for Italian driver Antonio Giovinazzi who will have to make way after three years at the pinnacle.


Zhou currently sits second in the F2 standings behind recently announced Alpine Reserve Driver Oscar Piastri.


Zhou has performed consistently since joining F2 in 2019 where in his debut season he finished in seventh with 140 points then in 2020 where he finished sixth with 151.5. points.


It will be great to see what Zhou can do alongside Bottas for 2022. With this singing the 2022 grid is now complete and there are some great partnerships up and down the grid along with the new regulations and cars it looks like it's going to be a tense and exciting season of Formula One.


The next race is the Qatar Grand Prix.
