VERSTAPPEN WINS AN ABANDONED BELGIAN GRAND PRIX

After completing two laps under the Safety Car - the Belgian race was ultimately called off after almost three hours worth of delays.

Max Verstappen takes his 16th career win in F1 and he wont ever get an easier one than that alongside him on the podium is George Russell who takes second after his impressive lap yesterday which secured him second and his first podium in Formula One and in third is Lewis Hamilton who will retain the title lead by just five points.

In other news Nikita Mazepin (Haas) takes his first fastest lap although he wont take the point or half a point as he was outside the top ten.

This is the first race since the 2009 Malaysian Grand Prix a race won by Jenson Button in a Brawn, that half points were awarded.

The next race is the Dutch Grand Prix.
