HAMILTON EASES TO FOURTH BELGIAN GRAND PRIX WIN

Lewis Hamilton took his 89th career victory at this years Belgian Grand Prix after getting a good start off the line and going on to lead every lap. This puts him just two victories behind Schumacher's win record of 91. Lewis's teammate Bottas managed a well deserved second place with the ever-present Red Bull of Max Verstappen coming home in third place.

The top three took a commanding lead early on and quickly had a clear advantage over the rest of the grid. The midfield battles were as close as ever at Spa with the majority of the action coming from fourth to nineteenth.

Eleven laps in Antonio Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo) had a slight moment of understeer loosing the rear tyres on the exit of T-13 leaving his car to slide into the barriers and bounce back onto the track. Caught up in this incident was the Williams of George Russell who had a terrifying moment where a wheel still connected to some suspension flew towards his front right tyre ripping the suspension off his car and causing the British driver to go straight into the wall. With large amounts of debris left out on track - out came the Safety Car for four to five laps as the track was cleared and ready for green light racing.

It was a weekend to forget for both Sainz (McLaren) and both Ferrari's of Vettel and Leclerc. Sainz failed to start the race after an exhaust failure on his McLaren. The Ferrari duo once again had a dismal weekend with a lack of downforce and engine power leaving them with little chance of scoring points in a race they won last year. Vettel finished in 13th and Leclerc in 14th.

One of the many stand out performances of the race include Pierre Gasly (Alpha Tauri) and the two Renault's of Ricciardo and Ocon.

Gasly was the last to pit after the Safety Car period and was dropped to the back of the field just in front of the then final runner in the form of Charles Leclerc (Ferrari). Gasly managed to finish in eighth place ahead of the two Racing Points Stroll (9th) and Perez (10th).

Ricciardo and Ocon finished a season best fourth and fifth.

This weekend drivers raced in the memory of F2 driver Anthoine Hubert who we tragically lost at Spa last year. On Saturday Hamilton dedicated his 93rd pole to actor Chadwick Boseman the man who played Black Panther - a role model for many who sadly lost his battle to cancer.

The next race is the Italian Grand Prix (Monza).
