The Belgian Grand Prix. A tricky one to predict with the weather so unpredictable in itself. The rain initially delayed the race for an hour and twenty minutes after the formation lap,, but eventually we did get going again once the rain had passed and visibility on track was much improved and the McLaren's simply ran away with it once again as Piastri calm as ever takes another victory to get one step closer to that maiden World Championship, with teammate and title challenger Lando Norris taking second with the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc taking third keeping Verstappen behind.

The race gets underway under the Safety Car, in the least exciting start of the season so far.

But eventually on lap five, we finally get  some racing with Lando Norris leading into turn one ahead of Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc. It didn't take long for Piastri to take the lead as he flies past Norris down the straight after Eau Rouge as the Aussie takes the race lead just four corners in. It was a temporary battery failure for Norris explaining why he had no defence to his teammate.

The first of the frontrunners pit on lap thirteen when Piastri pit from the lead as DRS is enabled and Norris now has the lead of the race.

After the very next lap everyone had pitted for dry tyres meaning Piastri leads from Norris in second and Leclerc in third with Max Verstappen and George Russell in fourth and fifth.

A race that sadly didn't live up to the excitement that Spa can bring - it was a race very much dominated by strategy rather than on track overtakes.

The next race is the Hungarian Grand Prix.
